Venue Information 

The East Gardens are all an important part of the Historic Royal Palace which is of major significance in the UK and forms part of the listed monument. The maximum care and attention must be given to the protection of all the grounds.  The buildings and interiors are historically important, and many are quite fragile.  It is important, therefore to treat them with respect and care to preserve them for future generations.

Exhibitors should be aware that Hampton Court Palace is Crown Property and as such there is an expected code of conduct.

Exhibitors are reminded that they should be mindful of their behaviour at all times. Smoking is not permitted and gentlemen are asked that they keep shirts on at all times.

Exhibitors are requested to wear hi-visibility vests during the build period and appropriate footwear.

Exhibitors must ensure the utmost care and consideration is taken when working within the palace grounds and any damage to property will be taken very seriously.

Fires and barbecues are not permitted within the palace grounds.

The following is strictly prohibited:

  • The fixing, tying or attaching of anything to any statues trees or sign etc.

  • Parking under tree canopies

  • Staking, pinning or any penetration into the ground

  • Emptying liquids, oils etc. into water features, onto grounds or into shrubberies

  • Painting, drawing, spraying or marking in anyway on the grounds, walls, trees, statues or any other features

  • The removal of any plants, turf or any other garden feature or structures.
